Count more than the straight runs
A proposal should describe lengths, corners, end caps, outlets, downspouts, and attachment. Two homes with the same roof area can have very different gutter layouts.
Ask about the fascia
Removing an old gutter may expose deteriorated wood. Confirm whether fascia repairs are included, excluded, or priced separately after the condition is visible.
Separate the material and access decisions
Material, finish, height, roof-edge access, and the number of elevations all influence the work. A per-foot number alone does not describe a complete installation.
Read the disposal and drainage details
Confirm old-material removal, cleanup, and the intended discharge locations. A proposal that ends at the downspout may leave important site work unaddressed.
Make it specific to your home.
This is general planning information, not a diagnosis, quotation, insurance determination, or promise of product performance. A property-specific assessment and written scope are the next steps.
